Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh inaugurated the Rashtraparv Website and Mobile App on December 25, 2024, to mark ‘Good Governance Day,’ commemorating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The platform aims to enhance public access to information related to national events such as Republic Day, the Beating Retreat Ceremony, and Independence Day. It features live streaming, ticket purchasing options, seating arrangement details, and event route maps, making it a comprehensive resource for event management.
Speaking on the occasion, the Defence Secretary highlighted that the Rashtraparv Website and Mobile App, developed by the Ministry of Defence, include a Tableau Management Portal. This portal facilitates the States, Union Territories, ministries, and departments in designing and finalizing tableaux for the Republic Day parade. Additionally, the platform preserves historical data regarding these events.
The initiative stems from a consultative process led by the Ministry of Defence. States had proposed a portal for managing tableau designs, while public feedback from Republic Day attendees emphasized the need for readily available event-related information. The Rashtraparv platform integrates these inputs to create a user-friendly experience.
The website is accessible at https://rashtraparv.mod.gov.in, and the Mobile App is available for download on the Government App Store (M-Seva).
This initiative represents a significant step toward transparency, openness, and citizen-centric governance, serving as a fitting tribute to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Good Governance Day.
