Mrs. Kala Hari Kumar, President of the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), unveiled the upgraded Computer Lab, Conference Room ‘Mantrana,’ and a new Lift for Children with Special Needs at Navy Children School Delhi on February 15, 2024. The ceremony was attended by Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Controller Personnel Services, Cmde Edwin Jothi Rajan, Cmde (Naval Education) II, senior officers, school staff, and children.
The ‘Param’ Computer Lab, designed for senior classes with a capacity for 40 students, features modern furniture, learning charts, and upgraded hardware. The ‘Mantrana’ Conference Room, designed to connect all naval schools, will facilitate faculty development programs and online academic interactions among children. The newly inaugurated Lift aims to provide easy access to all school facilities for Children with Special Needs, aligning with the school’s commitment to holistic and inclusive education.
During her visit, the President of NWWA explored the School Library and engaged with aspiring authors. Twenty-eight students, who authored books published by Bri Books Publications, showcased their literary works and shared their experiences. Mrs. Kala Hari Kumar encouraged the children to nurture their talents and advised them to be prepared for life’s challenges. She also commended the efforts to enhance facilities at NCS Delhi, acknowledging its significant contribution to nation-building.
