Previewing the Naval Investiture Ceremony of 2024

The Naval Chief to Award Gallantry & Distinguished Service Medals at Goa's Naval Investiture Ceremony

The 2024 Naval Investiture Ceremony at INS Hansa, Goa on April 14 will honor Naval personnel for gallantry, leadership, and distinguished service. Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of Naval Staff, will confer Gallantry and Distinguished Service awards on behalf of the Hon’ble President of India.

Awards include Nao Sena Medals (Gallantry), Nao Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty), and Vishisht Seva Medals. Additionally, the ceremony will feature the presentation of the Capt Ravi Dhir Memorial Gold Medal for Flight Safety promotion and the Lt VK Jain Memorial Gold Medal for pioneering research.

Unit Citations will also be awarded. The event will begin with a ceremonial parade and be attended by awardees’ spouses, family, and senior Navy officials. It will be live-streamed on the ‘Indian Navy YouTube’ Channel from 5:00 PM on April 14, 2024.
