Indian Naval Ship Shivalik Leaves Singapore

INS-Shivalik

INS Shivalik, on a mission deployment to the South China Sea and Pacific Ocean, departed Singapore on May 30, 2024, en route to Yokosuka, Japan.

During the ship’s stay in Singapore, various activities took place, including meetings with the Base Commander of Changi Naval Base, a wreath-laying ceremony at Kranji War Memorial, a meeting with the High Commissioner of India to Singapore, a visit to the IFC, and hosting around 80 school children onboard. Additionally, the Indian and Australian High Commissioners visited the ship, and there were cross-deck visits to the USS Mobile (LCS), highlighting the maritime relations and shared values between the navies, primarily under the Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR) initiative.

Upon leaving Singapore, INS Shivalik is scheduled to participate in JIMEX 24 and RIMPAC 24. This deployment aims to enhance interoperability with the JMSDF, US Navy, and other partner navies participating in RIMPAC 24.
