From 27th to 29th February 2024, General Pierre Schill, Chief of Army Staff of the French Army, is visiting India. The visit commenced with a wreath-laying ceremony at the National War Memorial on 27th February 2024, where the French General paid tribute to the fallen heroes of the Indian Armed Forces. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented at the South Block Lawns in New Delhi, followed by discussions with General Manoj Pande and other military leaders on various contemporary issues, emphasizing bilateral cooperation.
During the visit, General Pierre Schill will engage with defence industry representatives, witness a Pinaka firing demonstration in Rajasthan, and visit Sapta Shakti Command in Jaipur. On 29th February 2024, he will address officers at the National Defence College (NDC).
